Stop it already, Obama!

Oh, boy! What a week it has been! So many lies have been spread, and so many foolish people have fallen for them.

Last night, Tuesday February 24, 2009, Barack Obama addressed Congress with a speech that might have well been the State of the Union. Even though Obama has announced that he would NOT be giving a State of the Union address this year, the media and his followers acted as though it was the most historic State of the Union address in history.

Actually....now that I think about it...yes, it was a historic State of the Union address...it's historic for being nonexistent.

What a shame that so many Americans are on a high right now because of all of the positive things that Obama promised in his speech to Congress. Sure, it all sounds good on paper, but he is not going to accomplish this, and if he is, then we're going to see the biggest increase in taxes and the biggest increase of government power in American history. Who exactly is going to pay for the trillions of dollars that we owe in debt? Answer: the American taxpayers. So without raising taxes on the entire American population, how exactly does Obama intend to cut the deficit in half by 2010 like he promised? It's not like he can keep raising taxes on the richest 2% of the population because sooner or later he will literally tax them to death.

And the lies...there were way to many, even for a DemocRAT! Obama claimed during his speech that there weren't earmarks in his stimulus package/wasteful bill. Actually, there are over 9,000 earmarks in the bill. Either Obama is lying, or he hasn't had the chance to read the entire bill, which is over 1,000 pages long, so I doubt that it's the latter.

I'm just upset that so many Americans are taking Obama at his word and are not questioning that anything he is saying! Especially with the media as biased as it is, it's dangerous for Americans not to question what authority figures are saying.
