Obama's administration inherited a $1.3 trillion deficit from former president George W. Bush. One would think that Obama's goal would be to get rid of the deficit; after all, during the 2008 campaign Obama promised to cut the American deficit in half by 2010. But that no longer seems to be the case.
Based on the big government spending that Obama has been pushing for, the national deficit is actually on track to TRIPLE by 2010 to $3.6 trillion! And if this stimulus package fails, which is unfortunately very likely, then our debt will put us at great risk for financial take-over from the nations that we are indebted to.
Do most Americans even realize how massive this debt is? Do you yourself realize how much of a burden $3.6 trillion will be to the American taxpayer?
Probably not. So let me put it in perspective for you! Imagine spending exactly $1 million every hour. You'd be living quite the lifestyle, right? Well, if you did exactly that, if you spent $1 million nonstop for 24 hours a day, then you would have to wait 411 years before you ran out of money!
If you were to take the $3.6 trillion we owe in one dollar bills and stack them back to back, then it would stretch from capitol hill to the sun, back to capitol hill, then back to the sun again, and then it would almost make it all the way back to capitol hill!
This is a ton of money people, and that is why the conservative movement is fully against big government spending that is not guaranteed to work! Even if this stimulus bill doesn't work and it does indeed fail, you will owe the government money nonetheless. And do you know how much you as an individual will owe the government?
Every household in America will owe the government approximately $15,000 because of this reckless spending. But because not all Americans pay taxes, the bill to each indivual taxpayer will almost be twice as much! In fact, every taxpayer in the United States will owe the government over $27,000!
Yes, not everybody in America owes the same amount to the government since everyone has a different job and has different incomes. But the figures are still staggering, especially considering that the top wealthiest 2% of the nation pays the bulk of our taxes. If we're all supposed to be equal like the Democrats and the Obamessiah claim, then everybody would be paying the full $27,000. Unfortunately, the government intends to punish hard workers and success so that they can reward failure.
I'm not against helping those in need.
I'm against helping those in need at the expense of others.
This, my friends, is the largest increase in government spending we have ever seen. This is very dangerous that the Democrats want to take over our daily lives by telling us what to do and how to spend our money. The Democratic party is not the party of dreams, it is the party of controlling the American people.
Republicans, however, believe in success on the individual level. Conservatives, we must stick together to fight this madness!

Well, exactly how do we help people in need without somebody else paying for it in the form of money or time or work?

Anonymous you have bought into the Obama socialist message. It is not the governments responsibility to take care of those in need. People are not "entitled" to anything from the government. We have great charity in this country if we just allow it to work.
